The Lake House is a privately owned single story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath vacation home. Built in 2013, this new Smith Lake home away from home lends itself to a relaxing, fun vacation on the coast Smith Lake.

Excellent rental for small group of up to to eight people or a romantic weekend for a couple. The view and lakefront lot/dock are super. The place totally opens up to the deck facing the lake from the main bedrooms and the sitting area. Excellent decor and well equipped and furnished inside and on deck. The place is super clean.

The dock facilities are a two minute walk with seating areas on the main deck as well as around the property.  A swim platform is out front attached to the main boat slips but protected from boat traffic.

Our cabin's spacious open living room has a vaulted ceiling of knotty pine center beam adding to the cabin atmosphere. The kitchen / diner layout of the central area is spacious, welcoming and sociable with ample living room seating, dining facilities and breakfast bar.There are patio doors leading on to the main deck where you find additional seating and tables. 

The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs and features all new stainless steel appliances. Other amenities include a dishwasher, microwave, and washer & dryer. There is an equisite oak and tile bar with additional seating for eating. A king-size bed, walk-in closet, and private bathroom with large jetted tub and shower highlight the master bedroom.

Boating and Skiing

Boats are available on site directly from the owners.

A minimum stay of 2 nights required during standard rental dates.

This is a pet-friendly, non-smoking home. To keep our home beautiful for your enjoyment, a cleaning fee of $185.00 is charged per reservation.   All reservations require a $250.00 damage deposit that will be charged to your credit card 3 days prior to check-in.

We have a 3 night minimum during peak season. No Sat to Sat rental during the peak season of May thru September. There is a five night minimum across July 4th week.

Location & Travel Information

Leave at Junction 308 of I65. 

Follow signs at the junction CR 278 HEADING TOWARDS Arley and
Addison.  This is the direction AWAY from Cullman.

After exactly 16 miles turn Left on to CR77.  Follow this road towards Arley. 

After approximately 14 miles, and after going over the big bridge,  turn LEFT on to CR12 [Wilson bend road].  This turning can be identified by 'Old Nathans' Gas station on the right -  a grey, drab single story set of buildings .

Follow this road carefully.  There's a 'Y' junction with a lot of realtor signs after 4 miles approx and a fire station on the left where you turn right.  Take the right hand road – this is still CR 12.

After this junction CR 207 can be found on the RIGHT after 3.7 miles approx.  Turn on CR 207  and again almost immediately on the RIGHT at CR 3941.  Follow CR 3941 for 200 yds.  Bears Den is on the RIGHT HAND SIDE and can be identified by a Bears Den Sign.
